Privacy policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
In short
Linkle keeps and summarises the links you save, for you. We don’t sell your data, show ads or track you. You can delete your account and all your data from the app at any time.
Who is responsible
Linkle is a service built and run by the Linkle team (iPhone, iPad, web, Chrome extension and Telegram bot). This policy covers all of them.
What we collect
- Account: your username, email address, a one-way hash of your password (never the password itself) and your language. With Sign in with Apple, the ID and email Apple provides (which may be Apple’s private relay address).
- What you save: links, the title, summary, type and tags Linkle extracts, your notes, your collections and where each link is (Inbox, Archive, Trash).
- If you link Telegram: your Telegram chat ID (to save links to your account).
- If you use the Chrome extension or Share → Linkle on iPhone: only the address of the page you share or click it on. We never read your browsing history or other pages.
- For security: a one-way hash of your IP address for sign-in attempts and sign-up limits.
Using Linkle without an account
If you use the app without an account, your links and collections are stored only on your phone and are not sent to us. The phone itself reads a link’s title and description from that page. When you create an account, these links move to it and the copy on the phone is deleted.
How we use it
- When you save a link we fetch the page, read its text and send it to an AI service (Groq) to write the title, summary and tags. Your notes are never sent. The AI service does not use your data to train its models.
- We use your email only for sign-in codes and verification. We don’t send marketing email.
- If the weekly digest is on, we send a few suggestions from your Inbox via Telegram.
Who we share it with
Only the providers that run the app: hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), email delivery (Resend), summarising (Groq), Telegram and Sign in with Apple. Their servers may be outside your country. None of them get your data for ads or any other purpose. We don’t share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting
Your data is kept while your account exists. Links you delete go to the trash and can be restored from there. Profile → Delete account deletes your account, links, notes, collections and Telegram link for good. This can’t be undone.
Your rights
You can write to us to access, correct or delete your data or to get a copy of it (including your rights under GDPR and Türkiye’s KVKK). You can also correct and delete it yourself in the app.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and session cookies are signed. No system is perfect; if you notice a problem, please tell us.
Children
Linkle is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we update this policy we change its date. We announce important changes in the app or by email.
